SEDS, the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space, is a group dedicated to expanding the role of human exploration and development of space. We seek to educate the public in such a way as to attain this goal. We have many ways of doing this, including educational outreach, conferences, and chapter projects.

Mentored Research Opportunity: NASA Undergraduate Student Research Project

NASA's USRP offers U.S. undergraduates research experiences at NASA centers. Applications are available for the 2010 spring and summer sessions. Applicants must be U.S. citizens who are sophomores, juniors or seniors with a 3.0 GPA. They must have an academic major or course work concentration in engineering, math, computer science, or physical or life sciences. The application deadline is Oct. 23, 2009 for the spring session, and Jan. 22, 2010 for the summer session.

rack88 says: I've heard this is pretty hard to get into sometimes. I had a friend who tried to get into the program for months a few years ago and then decided to go with a for-sure co-op at a company instead of deal with NASA more.
