[SEDS Alumni Board] SEDS 501(c)(3) Help

Hello Everyone

I'm the current Director of Finance and need some information to get our
nonprofit status reinstated.  The IRS sent me the following query:

"According to our records, your organization was originally granted
exemption in May of 1985.   However, the document you submitted from the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts indicates that the date of incorporation for
your organization is November 30, 1994. Did your organization dissolve and
then reincorporate? Please explain. Please provide any relevant
documentation. Any documents which were filed with the state should show
certification of filing."

Does anyone know anything about the exemption from 1985 or any relevant info
that would help (exemption state, etc.)?
