[Seds-announce] SEDS-USA elections, 2006 conf. host proposals

2006 SEDS-USA CONFERENCE SITE SELECTION

Proposals to host the 2006 SEDS-USA National Conference are due by Fri,
Nov 4.  Proposals should be emailed to seds at seds.org.  There is no
standard format for proposals -- past versions are posted online at
http://www.seds.org/seds/conference.  Teams submitting a proposal will
give a presentation that will be voted on at the SEDS Conference in
November (either Fri, Nov 11 or Sat, Nov 12 -- TBD).


SEDS-USA EXECUTIVE BOARD ELECTIONS

Applications to run for a position on the SEDS-USA national board are now
available online at http://www.sedshome.org/elections.  Please forward
this information on to your chapter members (even you, Derek).

* Wed, Oct 26: Election applications deadline
* Sat, Oct 29: Completed applications posted at www.seds.org
for chapter viewing
* Mon, Nov 7: Absentee ballot deadline for chapters not attending the
conference (to be mailed to SEDS-USA, 306 Talbot Lab, 104 S. Wright St.,
Urbana, IL 61801)
* Sat, Nov 12: Elections during the conference at the U of Illinois

SEDS members of all ages and disciplines are encouraged to run. 
Participating at the national level is a valuable experience in
organizational leadership and will bring you in contact with many
interesting people in the space industry.
