Subject: More rocket info from Keene
Hi again, everyone.
Thanks for all of the posts :)
I'll start by giving all of you some more infomation about what we have for building the rocket. One of my friend's dad works at a company that builds and sell accurate lathes, and he said that we might be able to use one as a test for the actuall product. I also happen to have access to a CAD software called Unigraphics. It also has a CAE section that we could use to test some of the rocket before actually building it. We also have some people who would be willing to work hard on this project. Now what we dont have is much experience with engineering, altough my dad and phisics teacher did study mechanical engineering in college, we also dont have any money saved up, so we will have to get money raised for this project. I am not sure if we have someone who is skilled enough in welding. My uncle is pretty good at welding, but he only works on cars and bikes, so we may have to have someone weld for us.
The thing that we are considering the most important is safety, so we will take all of the precautions that we can. :)
So it seams like it may be a better idea to go with a hybrid rocket, just because we dont know enough about the engineering aspects. Please tell me what you all think, and if there is something else you would like to know, please ask.
Thank you again for the information everyone :)

P.S. oh and Zach, the second book you suggested is the one that i have been looking at recently, and i will see if i can find the other book somewhere. And i think i will be able to make the conference this year.
